If you could go back in time and see yourself as a child, what would you say? Nina is an adult whose life has gone off course, when a trio of concerned ancestors stage an intervention. When asked, “Where did things go wrong?” Nina identifies a pivotal moment from her youth when she made an impulsive decision that had a tragic domino effect with lasting impacts. So Nina and her ancestors travel back in time to caution her younger self and show her how things go wrong. Along the way, Nina gains perspective about the burden her younger self was carrying and learns to have more compassion. Take Two explores the complexities of racial identity, and how racial isolation can interfere with self love. It is a journey of healing and forgiveness.
