Hijinx & Sue

Despite being abandoned by their last pilot, Hijinx, an anxious and glitchy but spirited karaoke robot, is optimistic about their new friendship with Sue, a jaded spaceship mechanic who dreams of being a Captain with the Federation. But when a surprise inspection of the ship becomes her dream job offer, Sue is left with a dilemma–accepting the position means leaving Hijinx behind. As they embark on an interstellar road trip, encounter a collapsing robot city, and face a deceptively idyllic virtual reality, Hijinx and Sue question their places in each other’s lives, as well as their responsibility to the broken world around them. Maybe Happy Ending meets Futurama in this perfect next-watch for fans of Starkid Productions. Hijinx & Sue is fully drafted, and is currently entering the table/staged reading and revising stage.
