BLUDLINE: A Hip-Hop Odyssey

BLUDLINE is a thrilling live Hip-Hop and R&B re-imagining of Homer's Odyssey. The 10-year Trojan War finally wraps, all thanks to the slickest play in the game — the Trojan Horse. Its mastermind? King Odysseus of Ithaca, mind sharper than a blade, who leads the Greeks in wild celebration. While his crew is itching to sail home, Odysseus is torn. One side of him craves to hold his queen Penelope and see his son Telemachus. The other side? Still hungry for the thrill of victory and adventures worthy of a hero. That hunger costs him. The trip home to turns into years of detours, stacked with monsters and temptations (the Cyclops, the Sirens, Circe) — and in the end, his whole crew is gone. Meanwhile back in Ithaca, things are falling apart. Food’s running scarce due to the war, made worse by a corrupt council. Penelope’s holding her ground, pushing back, but Odysseus’ long absence has the sharks circling — suitors crowding the palace, ready to marry her just to grab the throne. Telemachus is forced to step up, growing into a man under the long shadow of a legendary father he’s never met. At the front of the pack of suitors stands the power-hungry Antinous, making his move by manipulating the Council, undermining Penelope, and plotting to kill Telemachus. When Odysseus finally arrives back in Ithaca and meets Telemachus, it’s not the fond reunion that either of them had hoped, and Antinous is moments away from gaining the throne. Odysseus enters the palace and makes an impassioned plea for a peaceful resolution. But Antinous refuses to roll over and Odysseus, Penelope and Telemachus are forced to fight to restore order to Ithaca.
